Farewell England, NYC here we come
Happy Friday folks. What fun plans do you have for the weekend?
I'll be busy packing and finalising our itinerary for our trip to NYC next week, that's if I manage to get started on it today. I'm a bit of a leave-it-to-the-last-minute kind of lass, plus I'm so excited in anticipation of the trip, I'm unable to concentrate on anything for longer than 30 seconds. The hotel is booked though, we will be staying at the Trump Soho Hotel.
But I do have a couple of fantastic things already planned and lined up for when I'm there. First up a first night dinner with the lovely Kelly from designlint, it's hers and Mr. S's last night in the city so we will be celebrating this while catching up on gossip with an Italian gastro-fest at Locanda Verde at The Greenwich Hotel.
Secondly, and I'm so, so, so beyond excited about this. I'll be meeting and hanging out with the lovely Erin from ilikewantneed for a day. For those that don't know, we met online through our mutual friend Annie a few months back and come on, with Erin living in Philadelphia, how on earth could we not take up this perfect opportunity to meet face to face in NYC?
I have a feeling there will be as much laughter as there will be tears as together, we hit the streets and shops of the West Village, SATC style. Stories, I'm certain, to follow. Plus, Erin is guest posting on Annie's blog today while she is in Tuscany, so do go have a read about life in her city.

I'm beyond thrilled to get to meet you in person, and the idea that all of this happened through blogging is just so incredible. I'm still hoping that you're not s scary murdered who's only pretending to be an interior designer/blogger to capture victims and then dump their bodies :) Did I mention that I watch too much Law and Order? haha

Oh no, you're worst nightmares are going to come true ;-D Seriously though, do you want me to wear a carnation in my lapel so you can recognise me amongst all the other creepy looking axe murderers, red of course? Ha! We are going to have so much fun. Thanks for making the trip into NYC, I'll repay the favour when you come to the UK xx

Sam, have the most wonderful trip to NYC! Only the greatest city in the world...Right next to Philly and London, that is. :) I probably don't have to ask, but pretty please can we get an Instagram photo of you and Erin together? I cannot wait to read about this meeting on each of your blogs...And NOT hear about it on the evening news (stop with the murder jokes!). Oh, in true Lauren fashion, you and Erin should buy something together to commemorate your meeting. I see a Diptyque candle in your future. :) See you back here in September!
