Inspired by colour : Indigo, Peach & Silver
Firstly an apology. I've been feeling pretty yuk for the last 24 hours and so my intentions to continue with NYC postings have gone awry today. Times like this call for a post I've been sitting on for a while, so here it is, a moodboard that covers my favourite passions - colour and nature.
Pick up an interiors or fashion magazine lately and it's blue in a multitude of deep shades that jumps straight out of the page. My regular copy of ElleDecor came through the letterbox recently and I was stopped in my tracks by this combination of colours below on a pamphlet from US paint company Glidden.
I get so excited when I see a strong dark colour contrasting with a delicate light colour and in this instance, indigo and peach together is beautiful and unexpected. The addition of silver connects, bridges the gap between the two extremes of dark mysterious and light angelic hues. What great companions.

It seems to be the norm to team a shade of white ceiling with dark walls, but think how alternative and contemporary an interior would be if subtle pale contrasting colours like this pretty peach were used instead.
I love that the peach has a softening effect and keeps the indigo and silver from seeming too cool and industrial feeling.

Hooray for Norfolk! Even if it isn't *my* Norfolk! Someday I'll ask for a streetsign or SOMETHING from *your* Norfolk. Wouldn't that be fun to hang in my house?!
But boo to feeling ill. Do you think it was the travel? Try to rest this weekend (although I don't see how camping, even if it is glamping, could be all that restful...). We'll be awaiting those NYC posts. xoxox
I did a scheme in indigo and peach for my jewellery shop project and got marked down for it as they said the peach was too pale. Still stewing!

Glamping, you say? Well, I do hope you start to feel better before embarking on your trip. I can't imagine feeling ill and glamping going very well together. Hope you had a wonderful weekend, Sam.

@Theresa - in a bid to get anywhere near the greatness of your own moodboards, I'm pleased you love it! Nope, it's not just you, this took me a little while - chopping and changing images until I gave up and went with it. I've been told the Glamping was quite full on, I don't think I'd have been much fun if I went. I'd have been in bed both days.
Sorry that you didn't get to go glamping Sam, what a disappointment for you!
Lovely colour combination, I'm painting my hallway a delicious shade of inky blue and now I'm thinking that some peach may be in order...
